ACWORTH, Ga. -- A 76-year-old man who disappeared last week has been found safe.
John Carson Bryant was last seen at the Regions Bank in Acworth at around 4:30 p.m. Thursday. According to Cherokee County Sheriff's spokesman Lt. Jay Baker, Bryant withdrew "a significant amount of cash" before he vanished.
Bryant was found Tuesday afternoon at the Hardee's on Highway 92 in Acworth. Baker said Bryant's son spotted the missing man's truck in the Hardee's parking lot and found his father eating lunch inside the restaurant.
Bryant told investigators that he drove to Louisiana after a family argument and had just gotten back into town when he was found, Baker said.
He was transported to WellStar Kennestone Hospital as a precaution.
