MILTON, Ga. -- Milton Police are working to identify the man suspected of robbing a local CVS over the weekend.

City of Milton communications manager Jason Wright said the robbery happened at around 9:15 a.m. Saturday at the CVS at Bethany Bend and Alpharetta Highway.

The suspect, described as a white man in his 20s, handed a CVS pharmacist a note saying he had a gun and wanted prescription drugs, Wright said.

The man ran from the store and managed to escape police. He also tried to flag down a driver for a ride, according to Wright.

Surveillance cameras in the store captured images of the suspect. He is about 5-feet-11-inches tall and 170 pounds, and was wearing a white baseball cap, red or maroon shirt, dark pants and a blue jacket.

Anyone with information in this case is asked to call Milton Police at 770-777-6595.
