The severe thunderstorm watch for northwest Georgia has been canceled. It was originally going to expire at midnight. Since the storms continued to weaken, the NWS allowed it to expire around 10:45pm..

The line of storms in north Alabama has prompted a couple of tornado warnings there. We don't have any confirmation of tornadoes, but these storms have produced some wind damage. This line of storms will still give us some rain and thunder and lightning overnight, but should stay below severe limits.

Expect more scattered showers on Labor day.
