WASHINGTON -- Senior administration officials say President Barack Obama will launch a new trade enforcement case against China Monday.

The officials say Obama's action at the World Trade Organization targets Chinese subsidies for automobiles and automobile parts. The presidentwill announce the new case during a campaign trip in Ohio, a swing state with a large manufacturing base.

The new action against China comes as Republican presidential nominee Mitt Romney accuses Obama of being weak on China and ceding American jobs to the rising Asian power.

The officials requested anonymity in order to discuss the trade action ahead of the president.
