ATLANTA - A mother of nine, reported missing since last week, was seen as recently as Friday by relatives in Athens, according to police in DeKalb County.
DeKalb County police said Wyteria Jackson made contact with relatives in Athens on Friday.
Family members told 11Alive News last week that Jackson had been last seen September 15 when she left to go to a baby shower. They said she never returned home. They also said that on the following Monday and Tuesday, September 17 and 18, she called her bosses to tell them she would not be at work.
Wednesday night, Jackson called 911, claiming to be locked in the trunk of a car. Police were unable to ascertain her location from that phone call.
Police officials declined to comment further, saying they would have additional information later.
