MCDONOUGH, Ga. -- There's concern for residents living in Henry County after a kitten tested positive for rabies. And there are at least six more kittens out there that could have the deadly virus.

Animal control officers want your help finding two women responsible for giving them away outside the McDonough Walmart.

The women reportedly gave away half a dozen kittens back in late August.

Vince Farah, spokesperson for the Henry County Animal Care and Control Department says the odds are 99% that every one of the kittens has rabies. He says animal control officials just want to talk to the women and they're not in trouble.

The rabies virus can be deadly for people; once symptoms start to show, it usually is.
