CLAYTON COUNTY, Ga. -- Clayton County Senior Services will host its annual Sickness Prevention Achieved through Regional Collaboration (SPARC)events for October in Jonesboro and Riverdale.
Scheduled for October 12 and October 26, the events address healthcare needs of seniors, ages 55 and older. Those who attend can receive immunizations, flu shots and tetanus shots.
The first event will be held a the J. Charley Griswell Senior Center, and the second event will take place at the Frank Bailey Senior Center.
"As part of the county's commitment to making Clayton a Lifelong Community, we want to make sure all of our older adults have access to as much health and wellness information as possible. Therefore we are inviting all those that are 55 and older to come out to participate at either S.P.A.R.C. event," Senior Services Director Mary Byrd said.
Seniors will be given free fruits and vegetables, and several door prizes.
