MARIETTA, Ga. -- AMarietta Middle School studentwas airlifted to Children's Healthcare of Atlanta at Scottish RiteFriday morning after a wreck involving a Marietta High School bus.

Marietta Police said the12 year old was a passenger in a car that failed to yield to the oncoming buson Ga. 120. Police said the bus was unable to stop in time toprevent the wreck.

The bus driver and 15 students aboard the buswere taken to WellStar Kennestone Hospital. Two of them had to be transported by amublance, according to police.The others were taken in another school bus.

WellStar Health System spokesman Keith Bowermaster said the students brought to the hospital ranged in age from 14 to 18, and all of them were in stable condition when they arrived. Bowermaster said all of the teens should be released from the hospital by late morning.

The car's driver was not seriously hurt and is expected to face charges.
