CARROLLTON, Ga. -- Walter Crowder won $500,000 from the Georgia Lottery on Wednesday for playing a new instant game.
The 63-year-old Carrollton forklift driver bought his ticket at the USA Food Mart on Alabama Street.
He has worked as a forklift driver for 33 years and has been thinking about retirement.The Georgia Lottery reported that Crowder and his wife have three grown children and seven grandchildren.
"I was buying Powerball tickets and then I bought this," Crowder said. "I was in the store when I scratched it."
