WASHINGTON-- The Consumer Product Safety Commission is recalling 50,000 bath seats that could pose a drowning hazard to babies.

The CPSC says the seats made by New Jersey-based Dream On Me Inc. fail to meet federal safety requirements and can tip over.

A 1-year-old girl nearly drowned, but did not require medical treatment,and four other people reported safety concerns, according to the CSPC.

Herethe models being recalled:

Baby Bath Seat251B, 251O, 251P, 251YGreen with orange tray, orange with beige tray
or yellow with green tray
Ultra 2 in 1 Infant Bath Tub
and Toddler Bath Seat
252B, 252PSolid pink, blue or white body and a blue or pink bottom
Niagra Baby Bath Seat253B, 253G, 253P, 253YWhite or blue body with a
green, pink or orange insert

They were sold through Amazon.com, Wayfair.com and smaller retailers.

Consumers are advised to stop using the seats immediately and contact Dream On Me at (877) 201-4317 or www.dreamonme.com for a replacement.
