ATLANTA -- A man was hit and killed by a car on Fulton Industrial Boulevard in Atlanta Friday morning.
The accident happened shortly before 4 a.m. just south of Martin Luther King Jr. Drive, near the Fulton County Airport.
Fulton County Police Sgt. Scott McBride said the unidentified victim stepped in front of a car. The accident occurred a few hundred feet from a crosswalk.
The driver who struck the man stopped and waited for police at the scene. McBride said the driver was not under the influence and did not appear to be speeding. No charges have been filed.
All lanes of Fulton Industrial Boulevard were blocked near the scene as officials investigated the accident. The road has since reopened.
