Cloudy skies tonight with showers arriving late. For areas around Calhoun to Rome and north, bring your umbrella with you tonight if you have plans outside for New Years Eve. For all other areas the rain will hold off until after 3am. Overnight low temperatures will be mild, thanks to the extra cloud cover, in the low 40s.
Tuesday will likely be soggy from start to finish. Rain could be heavy at times, but no flooding is likely since most areas will see only around 0.5-1 inch total in rain. Temperatures will be in the low to mid 50s with a west wind around 5-10mph, gusting up to 15mph.
Showers, while they will be lighter and not as widespread, will continue off an on through Thursday before finally exiting the area. High temperatures will remain steady for the latter part of the week around 50 degrees. Sunshine moves in for the weekend and temperatures warm up to above normal.
