ANCHORAGE, Alaska -- Some mushers getting ready for the Iditarod are having a tough time training for the annual dog sled race because of the unseasonably warm weather in parts of Alaska.

It's also forced the cancellation of several qualifying races for rookies.

But Iditarod officials say there's still plenty of snow along much of the route from Willow to Nome, and there's no need yet to worry about drastic changes to the race, which starts March 3.
