Six Flags over Georgia, the 6th largest employer in Cobb County, is kicking off its 2013 season by hiring over 2,400 new employees.

Hiring positions are available in areas including food, ticket, and park services, merchandising, loss prevention, toll booth attendants, ride operations, games, security, human resources, and marketing research.

Applicants, who must be 16 years and older, should fill out an online application at their website. For more information about jobs at Six Flags, you can also call the Six Flags Atlanta Employment Hotline at (770)-739-3410.

Another company hiring is MARTA. Representatives will be recruiting and interviewing for bus operators and mobility drivers at the North Metro Career Center from 9 am until 2 pm on Thursday, January 17.

Mobility drivers must have a class C license and bus operators must have a commercial driver's license. Applicants are expected to come prepared to interview and take two tests. For more information, contact a Georgia Department of Labor services specialist.

Hiring for Heroes is also hosting a job fair for veterans, active duty, reserve and guard members and military spouses on Tuesday, January 29 in Duluth.

This event, sponsored by the American Legion Veterans Organization and the U.S. Chambers of Commerce, is free but applicants should pre-register online at their website to guarantee admission. Job seekers are also encouraged to bring resumes and dress for success.

The job fair will be held at the American Legion Post 251 in Duluth from 9 am until 12 noon.
