ATLANTA -- Icy conditions may be possible Friday morning. Arctic air moving in late Thursday night combined with moisture could lead to sleet and freezing rain for your morning commute.
A wedge of cold air could potentially set up over north and central Georgia, dropping surface temperatures into the 30s. At the same time, slightly warmer air and moisture is forecast to move in from the west and could bring .10 to .25 inches of sleet and freezing rain.
The potential for a wintry mix depends on timing and whether or not the wedge sets up.
Temperatures will be warming up by Friday afternoon, changing any frozen precipitation to all rain.
