ATLANTA -- The Atlanta Braves Country Caravan made two stops in Atlanta on Wednesday, as part of their tour across the southeast.
Mackenzie Anderson, spokeswoman for the Braves, reported thatsome of the team spentWednesday morningat City of Refuge on the city's west side. Players Brian McCann, Dan Uggla, Reed Johnson, Don Sutton, Jason Heyward, Paul Janish, Cory Gearrin and Frank Wren joined coaches to prepare meals for residents and students of the City of Refuge.
The baseball club was helped out by the 180 Kitchen culinary program. Anderson said that the City of Refuge helps people in Atlanta who need life-saving resources and life-building tools.
The second stop for the Country Caravan is an autograph signing at the AT&T Storeat Lenox Square in Buckhead. Anyonecan have a free autograph fromthose players who attend, including McCann, Uggla, Johnson and Sutton.
TheBravesplayers will be atLenox Square on Wednesdayafternoon from 3:00 - 4:00.
