IRWINTON, Ga. -- School district officials in middle Georgia say two Wilkinson County High School teachers have been arrested on child molestation charges this week.
The arrests of math teacher Cornelius Jones and a teacher in the school's JROTC program are said to be related. Authorities have not yet disclosed details on how the cases are related, or how the JROTC instructor was involved.
The newspaper reports sheriff's officials questioned Jones Monday on allegations of inappropriate contact with a student, and school district officials say he submitted a letter of resignation.
Additional details were not immediately available and it was unclear Tuesday if the men had lawyers.
