CALHOUN, Ga. -- Terry Hampton's house collapsed on top of him during the storm in Calhoun on Wednesday afternoon.

"I was going up those steps and I heard like a horn of a train being pulled and it was just --- "wow", like I said it was surreal," Hampton said about the storm on Wednesday.

During the storm, Hampton was in his basement with his 14-year-old daughter, his 22-month-old foster child and his wife.

"We can buy dishwashers and that right there you don't get another," Hampton said while he searched through debris to locate family photos and valuables that may have remained intact after the storm passed.
