CLARKSTON, GA-- Police say a man committed a succession of mostly-unrelated crimes Friday morning in Clarkston.

Police say 27 year old Babasho Frute stabbed a MARTA bus driver in the leg at a stop in Clarkston. The motive and circumstances were unclear. Police say Frute exited the bus, and walked into a nearby grocery.

There, police say he asked for money, then stole Sprite.

Once in the parking lot, police say Frute tried to snatch a woman's purse. The woman resisted, and the theft attempt was unsuccessful.

As the woman resisted, police say Frute bit the woman on the arm. Moments later, Clarkston police arrived on scene and took the assailant into custody.

Neither the stab wound nor the bite wound were serious, police say.
