(WXIA) -"ManHands" soap promotes itself as being the soap for men who don't want to use "girly scented" soaps.
Adam Anderson, a 27-year-old Nebraska man, says he came up with the idea at home, and, according to the Sun newspaper in the UK, said, ""I went to wash my hands and noticed all the girly scented soaps we had around the house. I thought to myself, 'This is not how a man's hands should be smelling'."
While some of the 20 scents - bacon, baseball glove or brewed coffee - are among the things you'd expect a "man scented" soap to smell like, some of the others are much more creative and creatively described. You can obtain scents like fresh cut grass. Their website says, "Nothing screams man like mowing the lawn, so this smell will remind you of the smell of a job well done."
You can also get cannabis -- "If anyone sees you bathing with this, just tell them you have a prescription." Perhaps something more creative, like muscle rub or top soil or cash ("There no smell a young female will be attracted to, trust us.").
For the more partisan men, there's Democrat (a blue bar of soap that is"focused on individuals with a free-spirit, love for mankind, who have a desire to promote conservation of our environment.") or Republican (a red bar that is described as a "blend that stands for conservative values, love of country, and a strong family unit.").
Finally, there's "urinal mint," which supposedly smells like a fresh, unused deodorizer that men have smelled, well, in the restroom.
For $6.95 per bar, you get your choice: bacon, beer, baseball glove, bonfire, brewed coffee, buttered popcorn, cannabis, cash, cedar log cabin, Democrat, fresh cut grass, margarita, muscle rub, Nag Champa incense, Obsession cologne, red wine, Republican, top soil or urinal mint.
