ATLANTA -- Georgia Tech released its 2013 football schedule Monday, which includes seven home contests -- including the season opener against Elon University on August 31.
Home games in the Jackets' 100th season of playing games at Grant Field include games against the two newest ACC members, Pittsburgh (November 2)and Syracuse (October 19). The other two in-conference contests at home will be against North Carolina (September 21)and Virginia Tech (September 26).
Tech will host out of conference games against Elon and Alabama A&M (November 23)before closing out the season with its annual grudge match against Georgia on November 30.
The Jackets will visit ACC rivals Duke (September 14), Virginia (October 26), Clemson (November 14)and Miami (October 5)and they'll headtoSalt Lake City to battle Brigham Young (October 12).
Two open weeks are on tap this season -- the week of September 7 and the week of November 9.
The September 26 Virginia Tech game and the November 14 Clemson game are both Thursday night affairs that will be broadcast nationally on ESPN.
