ATLANTA -- A shooting victim drove himself to a southwest Atlanta gas station for help Friday morning.

The unidentified man called 911 shortly after 3 a.m. from the Citgo at the corner of Campbellton Road and Childress Drive.

The victim told police he was shot at an apartment on Devon Drive SW, and that he was able to run from the suspects, get into a car and drive away.

Atlanta Police Capt. Tim Peek said investigators are working to find the suspects and determine whether the victim was robbed before he was shot.

The victim was taken to a hospital. Peek said his wound is not life-threatening.
