ATLANTA -- A Tucker man was arrested after crashing his car while fleeing police Thursday morning.
Atlanta Police say a trooper tried to pull over 60-year-old Barry Michael Blake on the Buford-Spring Connector shortly after 2 a.m.
Blake drove away, but lost control of his Chrysler Sebring, hit a median and crashed into a utility pole near the intersection of Piedmont Road and Piedmont Circle.
Police say the officer chasing Blake was not involved in the crash.
Blake was taken to Grady Memorial Hospital with a laceration to his head. He has since been released, but faces charges of DUI, reckless driving, driving on a suspended license, fleeing and attempting to elude, and driving into a median.
