(WXIA) -- If you're looking for something fun to do this weekend, you can take a trip back in time at the Fox and enjoy some terrific talent, along rich musical history.

Million Dollar Quartetis a musical inspired by the famed recording session in December 1956 that brought rock n' roll icons together.

"It's before these guys -- Elvis, Jerry Lee Lewis, Johnny Cash, Carl Perkins -- were really discovered," explained Kelly Lamont. She's the onlyfemale cast member in the jukebox musical set in Memphis.

"It's pretty magical," she said when talking about the show andputting together a live show night after night.

With the house lights up at the Fox, the 33-year-old took time out to talk about the show's rich history.

"It was a Carl Perkins session where they hired Jerry Lee Lewis to come in and play," the 33-year-old said.

Then all fourmusicians, home for the holidays,came together for an impromptu jam session.

Kelly's character was a brief girlfriend of Elvis Presley, who just

"It ended up being coined the next day in the newspaper, the Million Dollar Quartet," the Chicago-native explained.

Kelly stressesthis production is authentic andnot about impersonations

"Instead you're seeing that character, that guy, embody the spirit of that person," Lamont said. "We actually performed in Los Angeles an Priscilla Presley came out to see the show and everyone was nervous. And she said after the show, I don't like Elvis impersonators but that guy scared me because he has got it down."

Kelly also has her role down, a fter playing Dyanne for nearly five years and and didn't hesitate to sing a few bars acapella when asked during our interview.
