FAYETTEVILLE, GA -- A trip to the Department of Driver Services to obtain a license is rarely a fun outing. But for one Fayette County mom, the sheer frustration nearly caused her to blow a gasket.

Andrea Sharpe visited the Fayette County D.D.S. to help her 18-year old son schedule a road test. But she was told she was required to produce a written log detailing the young driver's 40-hours of supervised driving.

She argued that the driver manual did not state any such requirement nor had the call center operator mentioned it. But she and her son were turned a way.

Frustrated, Andrea contacted 11Alive's Commuter Dude who quickly forwarded her complaint to D.D.S. officials. And within minutes, things began to happen.
