(WXIA) -- Fans took to Twitter to express their vehement displeasure with Brad Paisley's newcollaboration rap-country hybrid song with L.L. Cool J, Accidental Racist.

Publications such as Rolling Stone, Mashable and Entertainment Weekly have published stories about the song.

The song was released on Monday morning only two days before Paisley's new album and it attempts to tackle race issues using the melody of a guitar and the voice of a popular rap star.

During the chorus of the song, Paisley talks about being a "white man coming to you from the south landtrying to understand what it's like not to be."

The lyrics also go on to say that although Paisley "cant walk a mile in someone's skin" he's "proud of where I'm from but not everything we've done but it ain't like you and he can rewrite history."

L.L. Cool J then adds that "now my chains are gold but I'm still misunderstood." And that he "feels like a new fangled D'Jango, dodgin invisible white hoods."

Near the end, the two go back and forth in a question and answer session stating, "If you don't judge my do-rag... I won't judge your red flag," the recent Grammy host says. "If you don't judge my gold chains... I'll forget the iron chains."

The song has caused quite a stir in the world of social media since it's release. Tell us what you think on our Facebook page.
