ATLANTA -- Metro Atlanta's pollen count dropped Thursday, but is still in the "extremely high" category.

The pollen count is 2429, a little lower than Wednesday's count of 2920.

Active contributors include oak, sweetgum, mulberry, pine, sycamore and willow trees.

A pollen count above 1500 is considered extremely high, according to the Atlanta Allergy & Asthma Clinic.
