LITHONIA, Ga. -- Two Lithonia High School teachers are waiting to see if they'll keep their jobs after fighting on school property in front of several students Wednesday.
According to a report describing the incident, Barry Browner and Delmonte Madison were seen fighting in the school gym. They were both charged with disorderly conduct.
At the same time, Dekalb County School officials are also taking a look at a YouTube video Browner made in a school classroom. In the mold of the "Harlem Shake" craze which features videos of a group of people dancing wildly in a room, Browner is seen dancing as students jump across tables in the classroom.
"We were not happy," said Dekalb Schools representative Lillian Govus of the video and the fight. "We expect our staff to model the behavior we expect of our students, so we are taking this very seriously."
The teachers are still currently employed, she said privacy rules prevent her from releasing any information on punishments.
