ATLANTA -- A house on Mount Airy Drive SW has heavy fire, smoke and water damage following an early Monday morning fire.

Atlanta Fire Capt. Wayne Johnson said most of the fire damage was confined to the room where the blaze started.

A neighbor spotted the fire, called 911 and told authorities the home's occupant is out of town.

Johnson said investigator will be curious why the fire started around 2:15 a.m. and no one was in the house at the time.

No injuries were reported and firefighters brought the blaze under control in about 30 minutes.
