(USA TODAY) -- It's hard to tell which is bigger - Savannah Guthrie's diamond engagement ring or her smile.
The Today show co-host shared her happy news bright and early Monday morning. She's getting married!
Her boyfriend of four years, political consultant and former Al Gore aide Michael Feldman, 44, proposed over the Mother's Day weekend, Guthrie, 41, announced on the show Monday. "I got engaged over the weekend," she said, with a grin. "I just came in wearing this ring, hoping one of my colleagues would notice. ... and no one noticed!"
"Good for you and congratulations to Mr. Feldman," said Matt Lauer. "He's a great guy."
Said Al Roker, "Today throws a wedding!"
"Don't even think about it," said Guthrie, immediately nixing the idea of an on-air ceremony.
Guthrie, who was married from 2005 to 2009 to BBC News presenter Mark Orchard, said she wouldn't let her wedding be broadcast on the show.
