DOUGLASVILLE, Ga. -- The 11Alive News Today morning show hit the road again Friday for the latest stop on its "This is Home" summer tour.

The crew broadcast live from O'Neal Plaza in downtown Douglasville from 4:30 a.m. to 7 a.m.

A huge crowd showed up to welcome Karyn Greer, Ted Hall and Elle Duncan to the beautiful city.

Rising NASCAR superstar Mason Massey stopped by and brought his race car. The 16 year old is quickly becoming a household name in the racing world.

Several performance groups entertained those in attendance. Members of the Douglasville Gymnastics & Cheerleading Club flipped for the crowd -- and the camera.

The Theta Tigers Step Team and Fa-Side a cappella choir, both from Douglas County High School, also performed.

Sideshow performers Captain & Maybelle performed a death-defying stunt, to the shock and delight of those present. The duo made it to the quarterfinals on season 6 of "America's Got Talent."

David Jenkins with Motivational Fitness taught Elle Duncan the fine art of exercising with kettlebells.

And the budding martial artists from Champion Karate and Fitness showed off some of their moves, while an adorable young man named Lucas stole Elle's heart.

But if there's one thing Douglasville residents love, it's music and dance.

Dance Academy West will present Alice in Wonderland this weekend, and some of the cast members appeared in costume on the morning show.

Other Dance Academy West members danced to Whitney Houston's "I Wanna Dance with Somebody (Who Loves Me)."

Jazz musician Milkshake shared his smooth sounds with the crowd; he is a fixture at Wind Down Wednesdays on O'Neal Plaza.

And, thanks to the tunes of a local DJ, the entire morning show quickly turned into a giant dance party!

11Alive's Julie Wolfe explored how the city cut the cord with Google's largest public project in the state, and took a running tour of what she calls "metro Atlanta's hidden gem."

And tourists in Douglasville? City officials explained why they're an unexpected draw.

Douglasville is the 7th stop on the This is Home tour. Next week, the show will be in nearby Powder Springs. Past visits include Dunwoody, Alpharetta, Downtown Atlanta, Norcross, Dallas and Stockbridge.
