ATLANTA -- A pedestrian was hospitalized after an unlicensed driver struck him at a Midtown intersection on Friday evening.
A preliminary investigation determined that the man was struck after he ran out into traffic near the 2000 block of Monroe Drive. The pedestrian sustained a compound fracture on his leg and was transported to Grady Memorial Hospital.
The driver of the car that struck the man will be charged with driving without a licence. However, authorities plan to charge the pedestrian for the accident.
The pedestrian is expected to make a full recovery.
