MOULTRIE, Ga. -- Town leaders of Moultrie, which is just northwest of Valdosta are banning residents from wearing their pants too low.
Saggy pants offenders will receive a $25 fine on their first offense, along with a possible 40 hours of community service. A repeat offense will bring with it a fine of up to $200.
Moultrie town leaders passed a public indecency ordinance that bans saggy pants. Under the ordinance, pants can't hang lower than three inches off your waist. Plus, no skin or underwear can be exposed.
A Moultrie resident welcomes the ordinance.
"When I go out to eat somewhere," resident Jimmy Taylor said, "I don't want to see nobody's underwear."
"Ain't nothing pretty about that," he added.
