DEKALB COUNTY, Ga. -- DeKalb County police are searching for the driver of a motorcycle who caused an accident that injured four people on Tuesday.

The incident happened on the 4100 block of Rainbow Drive near Wesley Chapel in unincorporated DeKalb County. According to police, the accident was caused by a motorcycle race.

Officials say one of the motorcycles struck a car, slid under the car and caused the vehicle to catch fire. The car was carrying four occupants at the time of the accident and they all escaped the vehicle with facial and head burns.

Authorities say the driver of the wrecked bike jumped on another bike and fled the scene. Police don't have a description of the motorcycle but they are working with traffic enforcement.

Authorities describe the driver of the motorcycle as a black male in his mid-20's with long dreadlocks.
