ATLANTA -- The Georgia Department of Transportation is working to determine how a big rig's trailer split in half on an Atlanta highway.

The accident happened shortly before midnight Tuesday on eastbound Interstate 20 near Fulton Industrial Boulevard.

Brian Logan, who was driving the truck, said he hit a bump in the road and felt the trailer buckle. When he checked on it, he saw that it was broken.

The trailer was carrying a load of books donated to Goodwill.

No one was injured in the wreck, which has since been cleared. Logan said this is the first time something like this has happened to him in his 15-year career as a truck driver.
