Cancer can take a physical, emotional and financial toll on patients, but there are manyorganizations hoping to ease the burden a bit with free goods and services for cancer patients. They can add up to thousands of dollars worth of freebies!

Cleaning for a Reason provides free maid service to women with cancer. Patients who qualify get a once a month house cleaning for four months.

Not all patients can afford expensive prostheses, so an Arizona nonprofit group makesKnitted Knockers and mails them out free of charge. Many patients prefer them over silicone prosethetics, which are considerably heavy. Some chapters charge a small fee to cover the costs of making the prosthetics. Summer camp can cost thousands, but a special sleepover camp run by College Students nationwide is completely free for all children with a parent who either has or had cancer.Camp Kesem has a very small ratio of counselors to campers and is designed to give kids a fun, weeklong break away from the stresses cancer puts on families. Campers can attend every summer till they're 17. Both EmoryandUGA have Camp Kesem chapters.
