ATLANTA -- We root for them on the field, and now we have plenty of reason to root for them off the field as well.

Tuesday, some Atlanta Falcons players took on new roles.

They traded places with Southwest Airlines workers for a day at Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport.

Surprised passengers got a chance to meet Harry Douglas, William Moore, Joe Hawley, Dominique Franks and Shann Schillinger. But the event was about even more than that.

Southwest Airlines is also a national sponsor of the Make-a-Wish Foundation.

Tuesday, one young man who's battling cancer, got a chance to meet players from his favorite team and to work alongside them at the airport.

Some of the jobs the Falcons had to do included taking boarding passes, making boarding announcements and even marshaling in planes.
