Joe Garagiola, Jr., Senior Vice President of Standards & On-Field Operations for Major League Baseball, made the announcement.

Both suspensions are scheduled to begin tonight, when the Brewers are to play against the New York Mets at Citi Field in New York and the Braves are to host the Philadelphia Phillies.

If either player chooses to appeal, then his suspension will be held in abeyance until the process is complete.
