FULTON COUNTY, Ga. -- A school bus was involved in an accident in south Fulton County Tuesday morning.

The wreck happened shortly before 7 a.m. at the intersection of Old National Highway and Flat Shoals Road.

Initial reports revealed the bus collided with an SUV. The front of the school bus was crushed, while the car was destroyed.

Fulton County Police Cpl. Kay Lester said the driver of the SUV, whose name was not released, crossed the center lane of Old National Highway and hit the bus. The SUV driver will be charged with failure to maintain lane.

Three Westlake High School students were aboard the bus. One was taken to Children's Healthcare of Atlanta at Hughes Spalding. The bus driver complained of knee pain and was taken to Atlanta Medical Center.

The driver of the car was also taken to Atlanta Medical Center. None of the injuries are life-threatening.

Several lanes of Old National Highway were blocked at the scene, but the road has since reopened.
