TUCKER, Ga. -- One person is in the hospital after being shot multiple times following a possible road rage incident in DeKalb County.
The shooting happened at around 11:15 p.m. Tuesday outside a Waffle House on Lawrenceville Highway in Tucker, just outside the Perimeter.
Antonio McDaniel, who works at the Waffle House, witnessed the incident.
"There was a black (BMW), and a white van began ramming it," McDaniel said. "I looked up and the guy jumped out of the black car and started letting off rounds."
McDaniel said he heard as many as eight shots. He added customers inside the restaurant were scared.
"They hit the floor. One girl walked up to the window as they were shooting. I was like, 'Get down,'" he said. "We heard gunshots, got down and then went to the back. Everybody came out safe. God is good."
The van driver managed to continue on to a nearby QuikTrip, where he was picked up and taken to Grady Memorial Hospital; that person's condition was not immediately known.
The BMW also drove off. Police eventually found it in a nearby neighborhood and took three of the four people inside into custody.
No names have been released. DeKalb County police said the incident may be drug-related.
