FULTON COUNTY, Ga. -- A child is dead after being struck by a vehicle in South Fulton county.
According to Fulton County Police, 6-year-old Christopher Cook Jr. was struck by a vehicle at the intersection of Old National Highway and Jolly Road. The accident happened around 6:50 p.m.
Reports say Cook and his 16-year-old brother were standing in the center lane of Old National Highway waiting to cross the roadway. Cook broke away from his brother and was struck by an SUV. He died on the scene.
Authorities say the driver will not be charged and that on one else was injured in this accident.
