MARIETTA, Ga. -- A 23-year-old man has been arrested for hitting a pedestrian with his car and then leaving the scene.

Tanner Bertram of Acworth turned himself in to Marietta police Monday afternoon.

Bertram is accused of hitting 20-year-old Matthew Tyner as the victim walked along North Marietta Parkway on Dec. 27. Tyner was later pronounced dead at WellStar Kennestone Hospital.

Bertram has been charged with second-degree vehicular homicide and felony hit and run. He is being held without bond in the Cobb County Adult Detention Center.
