CLAYTON COUNTY, Ga. -- A MARTA bus hit a disabled car in Clayton County Friday morning.
The wreck happened on Interstate 85 south before Old National Highway.
MARTA spokesman Lyle Harris said the driver of the car lost control; the vehicle bounced off the median and stopped in a travel lane. Another car stopped to help the driver, and the bus hit both cars.
No passengers were on board the bus. The bus driver and a person sitting in the disabled car were hurt, but the extent of their injuries is not known.
Harris said the driver of the first car was charged with failure to maintain lane.
The accident briefly affected two right lanes of I-85 south.
