GRIFFIN, Ga. -- A Spalding County man was arrested after a stolen car was found in a barn on his property.
Michael Edward Maxon, 48, was charged with theft by receiving and operating a chop shop.

Spalding County sheriff's officials executed a search warrant Wednesday at Maxon's Poplar Street home. They discovered the car, which was reported stolen on Dec. 24.
Investigators said the vehicle had been dismantled and its roof had been removed.
