An event promoter has pulled the plug on a celebrity boxing match between George Zimmerman and rapper DMX.
Damon Feldman announced the cancellation Saturday via Twitter, saying that "there's more to life than money."
"I walked away from a million-dollar payday with this fight but to be honest I'd rather be happy and make people happy," the controversial boxing promoter wrote, perhaps earning himself a little good will for a change.
Since his 2012 acquittal for the shooting death of Florida teenager Trayvon Martin, Zimmerman, 30, has had several more run-ins with the law, including domestic incidents involving his ex-wife and girlfriend.
DMX, 43, also has a lengthy rap sheet, most recently for a November traffic stop which resulted in being booked for suspected impaired driving as well as driving an uinsured, unregistered vehicle.
