(WXIA) -- No one was seriously hurt when an SUV collided with a school bus carrying children Tuesday morning.
The accident, which took place just before 9 a.m., happened near Humphries Drive and Browns Mill Road in southeast Atlanta.
Dispatchers said 32 students were aboard the bus, which was on its way to Crawford W. Long Middle School when it was rear-ended by an SUV.
Several students aboard the bus were complaining of back and neck injuries after the accident took place. Atlanta Public Schools spokeswoman Kimberly Green said those students were taken to school, where they were checked out in the cafeteria by emergency personnel and found to be okay.
Authorities said the driver of the SUV was cited and allowed to leave.
