LAURENS COUNTY, Ga. -- There will be no mud-flopping, no toilet-seat tossing, no pigs-feet bobbing in East Dublin this summer.

Organizers of the annual Redneck Games say they'll take the year off, for the second year in a row.

The games started in 1996 as a parody of the Atlanta Olympics. It drew visitors from all over and camera crews from across the world.

But Larry Drew of the East Dublin Lions club said the games suffered from the economy in recent years, and was a lot of work for the small club.

He said the games could be back in 2015, if new sponsors step up with help and money.
