ROSWELL, Ga. -- Roswell police officers helped free a deer that got stuck in the metal gate of a home on Wednesday.

According to a posting on the Roswell Police Department Facebook page,the fawn made it about halfway through the gate when it got its back half stuck.

Officers John Lathem, Chris Smith and Justin Snyder were able to get the fawn loose after an "intense and tedious rescue."
