PAULDING COUNTY, Ga. -- The lockdown has been lifted at three Paulding County schools.

Brian Otott with Paulding County Schools says South Paulding High School, Austin Middle and Dugan Elementary were put on lockdown around 8 a.m. after a police chase ended near South Paulding High.

The Paulding County Sheriff's Department spokesperson says the chase began after suspects driving, fired at a traveling Villa Rica Police car.

Police arrested three suspects and were searching for one man who got away.

Officers did find weapons in the car.
