ATLANTA -- A female pedestrian walking in traffic on I-85 was struck during in morning rush hour traffic.
The woman, Joresa Critten, 22, of Stone Mountain, was taken to Grady Hospital to be treated for her injuries.
The Georgia Department of Transportation tells 11Alive News Critten was hit in the I-85 northbound lanes near Sylvan Road just before 8:00 am. Hapeville police were the first on the scene.
All lanes of traffic were stopped, and police routed the morning rush hour around the accident by turning some cars around on the interstate.
A spokesman for Atlanta Police told 11Alive news a report came in that a person had jumped from a moving vehicle in the area.
